A glimpse of Canada's logistics industry in Europe and America
Canada is a beautiful country with abundant products. In recent years, with the deepening of the friendly relations between China and Canada, and the implementation of the Canadian Government's 'Asia-Pacific Gateway Corridor Program (APGCI)', China and Canada have increased cooperation in trade and logistics. At the invitation of the Canadian government, the reporter conducted an inspection of the 'Asia-Pacific Gateway Corridor Plan' and related logistics industries.

The current Vancouver-Fisha Port Authority was actually merged in 2008 by the three Port Authority of the former Vancouver Port Authority, North Fraser River Port Authority and Fraser River Port Authority. The combined Vancouver Port Authority is the largest port in North America's total foreign trade exports, and it is also the port with the largest total freight and container throughput in Canada.

At present, the Port of Vancouver Port Authority has established trade relations with more than 160 countries and regions around the world, of which about 70% of the trade volume comes from China, Japan and South Korea. In 2010, the container throughput of the Port of Vancouver was 2.35 million TEUs-this number may not be a big number among many Chinese ports, but in Vancouver, this is a proud number. Ge Liwei, general manager of the Vancouver Port Authority, showed a set of statistics. Since 2000, the container throughput of the Port Authority of Vancouver has continued to increase and reached its peak in 2008. Although the impact of the international financial turmoil declined in 2009, it quickly recovered in 2010. With the continuous advancement of the Canadian Government's 'Asia-Pacific Gateway Corridor Plan', the role of the Port of Vancouver is becoming more and more important. On the one hand, the Port of Vancouver is adding a large amount of infrastructure and port equipment; on the other hand, they are also committed to further improving container throughput by improving the efficiency of existing terminal operations to meet the rapidly growing global shipping demand. Ge Liwei said that by 2020, the throughput of the Port of Vancouver will reach more than 5 million TEUs. Europe and America Line
